11 "Faux Pas" That Actually Are Okay To Do With Your Robot Vacuum Deals

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've always wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time. CNET's top-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal It also self-empties which will cut down your cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand which other robots can't. And it did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

The j7+, though not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to tell if they are working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best option is probably hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with various additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock has some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and although it doesn't have certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas or alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It also features a large LCD display that is great to have when you're setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people, but it's one that can assist you in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are among the best on the market - but it's also pricey.

Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small.  best automatic vacuum  to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and doesn't come with an dock that allows the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do it all.

But if you want to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of other great choices on the market which include a variety of eufy models priced substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.

The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it can fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It is sleek with a black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses an integrated map to create an image of the unmovable items in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers similar battery life and performs better on unfinished flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently, and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
